This school was very strict, not at all what I was used to, we had a strict dress code, and strict guidelines, it was not at all what I was used to. Fast forward a little bit to college, growing up in a big city, Miami, FL, I wanted to go to a big school, my parents weren’t necessarily on board with that idea and I ended up attending a small Christian School called Pensacola Christian College. I was as average as it got when it came to a person. I grew up shy, not confident in the slightest, and not much really going for me academically either. Immigrant kid from Haiti, I came to America when I was eight with not much on my side. With our roots in Mexico and being raised near the border, our favorite past-time was being embraced in the culture. We’re super excited to bring this new concept of food to the forefront and really give the street vendor in Mexico a voice in the great city of Austin. It has not been a smooth road through the pandemic and just financially trying to survive, we’ve gone through our ups and downs, but our faith never wavered. So we decided to take on that market and grow. Our story started when we moved to Austin, TX and realized nobody in the Central Texas area sold lonchesitos for us to enjoy.

As more and more of my friends and family members started to get married, I found myself excited to share my experience and knowledge to help their wedding days run smoothly. With no other prompting than my internal drive and possibly the panic of the couples’ parents, I stepped in to set up decorations, cue the wedding party down the aisles, provide wedding day emergency kits, and handle tear-down. I volunteered to help with the set-up but ended up playing a larger role in their big days. Two of my closest college friends hosted small DIY weddings and opted not to hire a coordinator. The first two times I coordinated weddings, it was an accident. The book is stories about women meeting our financial leaders and learning the mindset around money. My mentor, Denise Arand created Wine, Women and Wealth and wrote a book.

I launched my first Wine, Women and Wealth on October 2019 and never looked back. I became an Area Vice President in July 2018 and moved to Texas that year. I attended a Money 101 event and loved the education so much, I became an agent. I met Denise Arand and her agency at her Christmas party.
